Rankings
Conference grades come from the CORE Conference Ranking, maintained by the Computing Research and Education Association of Australasia. CORE assigns each venue a grade — A*, A, B or C — through a discipline-led review process, alongside designations for national, regional and Australasian venues. A* is intended to denote the flagship conference in a field; C denotes a venue that meets minimum standards of peer review.
This site reproduces the grade verbatim in the raw rank field and also stores a normalised rank tier, which consolidates variants such as “National: USA” and “National: Germany” into a single National tier so that browsing by grade behaves predictably. Both values are shown on every conference page.
Subject classification
Each conference carries up to three Fields of Research codes from the Australian and New Zealand Standard Research Classification. The subfield pages group conferences by those codes. Two groupings — natural language processing and databases — have no dedicated code and are assembled by venue instead, because the underlying classification folds them into broader categories.
Publication records
Paper listings are derived from DBLP, the computer science bibliography maintained at Schloss Dagstuhl. Records are filtered to conferences appearing in the CORE list and matched on acronym. Each entry keeps its DBLP key, so any record here can be traced back to the canonical bibliography. A small number of DBLP records carry an empty title or author list; those fields are omitted rather than displayed blank.
Matching is by acronym, which is imperfect: venues that changed name, merged, or share an acronym across communities may under- or over-count. Treat paper counts as indicative rather than authoritative.
Acceptance rates
Acceptance rates are not part of either source dataset. They are curated by hand for the most frequently looked-up conferences, quoted for the main or research track of a recent edition, and labelled with that edition. Where a figure has not been verified, the field is omitted entirely rather than estimated. Rates vary substantially between tracks and years; always confirm against the conference's own call for papers before citing.
Updates and independence
Rankings are refreshed when CORE publishes a new round; publication records are refreshed against DBLP snapshots. This site is an independent reference and is not affiliated with CORE, CORE's member institutions, DBLP or Schloss Dagstuhl.
