Best Database Conferences
The database community is organised around four A* venues: SIGMOD and VLDB for systems and empirical work, ICDE for a broader remit, and PODS for theory. VLDB's rolling monthly submission model through PVLDB has largely displaced the traditional single-deadline cycle.
EDBT, CIKM and ICDT form the strongest second tier. Data mining and information retrieval work shares this field of research code and appears in the list below.
